I’m an extremely lazy person, so i think these ways have some superfluous steps that make the whole process more exhausting. Also, some programs may not support the format that you download stuff in, which means that you have to convert it in order to make a gif, and this can be a problem, especially with TV shows/movies, because their timing is extremely long, and converting the whole episode for one specific moment that you need to gif takes a lot of time. I also tried both VLC and Adapter ways - VLC way is annoyingly hard, and Adapter doesn’t have a preview for the video, which means that I have to play it in another player first, remember the timing and then make the gif. I tried KMPlayer for Mac, but it’s only in beta version for now and doesn’t support screencaptures. So, I’m a mac user, which means that there could be some problems with finding needed software for gifing.
